Sauerkraut Prevents Stomach CancerSauerkraut was always one of the most important winter salads and vitamin C sources to our ancestors.  We have kept the tradition of turning cabbage into sauerkraut until present time.  Although many traditions die, this one should not, because sauerkraut can easily be seen as a cure.  Maybe the most famous example of its use was feeding te ship crew with sauerkraut in order to prevent scurvy by James Cook.  Sebastian Kneipp use it to treat burns, diabetes, inflammations.  100 g of fresh cabbage contains up to 20 mg of vitamin C. Vitamin A, folic acid, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, etc are all within. It is also an excellent source of vitamin B12, therefore specifically suitable to vegetarian and vegan population.  It prevents stomach cancer.  Although not finite, the list below gives us an overview of the positive sides of sauerkraut use:
- heals burned skin,
- relieves stress,
- improves mood,
- helps multiplication of red bloodcells,
- helps bones growth,
- strengthens immune system,
- improves overall condition of stomach and intestines,
- lowers cholesterol.
